Maths Task

The task for Maths Group 1.   Your hardworking Head Teacher wants to visit his brother in
Tasmania in July.  He will stay out there for 3 weeks.  You must plan his trip using public transport only.  You need to plan the following:

·       Bus from School to the airport

·       Flights toTasmania

·       The return

·       Hotels

·       Costs 

To complete the task you need to present your results to the class using a Powerpoint presentation.  You need to make sure that all buses, flights and hotels are available.  Take it to the point of putting in the Visa number – then stop!  (By the way – he’s not really going to Oz for his holiday, worst luck) To help you can use:

·        The internet – e.g www.expedia.com www.google.com www.ba.com

·        Bus timetables e.g. http://www.citylink.co.uk/

·        An Atlas
